Monk, BruceBruce is a former dancer with the Royal Winnipeg Ballet Company and also a graduate of The National Ballet School of Canada's Teacher Training Program.
It was his idea to make photoes of ballet dancers rather than the photoes themselves that caught my attention. Want it or not, but you are destined to draw a parallel to Degas' canvases. This desire to capture the moments of dances is the passion of dance itself and I share this passion. That’s why I decided to include Bruce into my list of favourites.
And Monk is a Degas in photography. I admired the series of photoes which he uploaded on the Internet. Have a look:

From bio:Bruce's interest in dance photography was started when he borrowed a friends camera to take to Egypt while dancing for the RWB. This tourist motivation quickly escalated to a passion and has remained intertwined with his performing and teaching career. In addition to his photographic skills he has focused on alternative printing processes for the last 10 years, Platinum printing being the method of choice for his portfolios.
